Here are the pics I took along the way, along with pics of the suite upgrade Marriott gave me at the hotel to top what was an awesome day of driving in fantastic weather. As you can see, Toby likes th e room.

Too much Sunchaser? I really love this car, and the smaller wheels have improved ride and handling.

I caught the Ortega Highway going opposite traffic, which made for clear sailing and a fun drive . That was a good day. Now I have to find a place with a patio to take Toby out to dinner.

Sweet ride. The thing I love most about Cali is how dog friendly they are. You can bring dogs everywhere.

How are you liking SD? If you have time, check out the automotive museum at Balboa Park. They’ve always got lots of variety, vintage car-wise.

If you don’t mind taking a little detour, you should take Route 178 to Bakersfield which hugs Lake Isabella’s shores . Fewer semis too!
